ABOUT ME
I've been working on classic motor scooters for most of my life. Many years ago, when I was 14, I bought my first scooter (a Vespa GS160 Chassis and a Vespa SS180 engine) as a trailer full of old parts. I somehow put it together and got my motorcycle licence riding it on the day I turned 15.
I must have been bitten by the motor scooter bug, because I've never stopped working on them since then.
Today, I have a collection of many classic scooters, all restored by me, to showroom condition. These include Italian, German, Austrian and English scooters.
In the meantime I have qualified in both mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. There is an active motor scooterist community here, and I love spending time with the scooterist friends that I've made over the years.
Look forwarding to hearing about your Vespa journeys,
Alan Beuzenberg
